As a media and content specialist for 15 years, Avon has carried the sandbags, bought the doughnuts, and washed the cars. From ad agencies to giant corporates, he’s watched the media industry morph into what it is today – a buffet of media publications packaged for consumption in any number of content types - segmented and then segmented again to a point that calling oneself a ‘specialist’ sounds almost ludicrous. Almost.
His motoring career took off in 2003 with CAR Magazine - a market-leading motoring magazine in South Africa. Since then he’s journaled motoring & business stories for a number of print publications including the internationally recognised Forbes Africa, local publications Destiny Man and Kasi Biz and most recently as publisher of the new TopGear South Africa.
