The Volvo S60 sedan has been handed a dose of aesthetic attitude with the Black Styling package.
While we like the look, it remains a ‘forbidden offering’ in South Africa so we can, sadly, only admire it from afar. Available in the plug-in hybrid S60 Recharge, mild-hybrid S60 Momentum and R-Design trims, the new Volvo S60 Black Edition features exclusive high gloss black accents and badging.
At the front, the S60 Black Edition is fitted with high gloss black covers on the grille, Volvo badge and grille slash. The rear boasts a Volvo badge and motor designations finished in high gloss black.
Other exclusive features include high gloss black 19″ wheels, darkened tailpipes as well as a choice of two standard metallic paints; Onyx Black and Crystal White.
Locally, the Volvo S60 has been discontinued in the consistent wake of the decline in the D-premium segment and as it stands now, the S90 remains the solitary sedan offering.
Volvo in the USA will only build 450 units of the S60 Black Edition strictly for that market.
