Known for giving Land Rover Defender models a breath of fresh looks, Heritage Customs, has worked on the 1985 Land Rover Defender 90 V8 giving it a significant makeover.
The reworked Land Rover Defender 90 is equipped with steel wheels, a fully upholstered interior, a wooden rear compartment floor while also wearing the exclusive Moon Dust matt hue.
To make sure that the Land Rover Defender 90 still retains its original looks, Heritage Customs did not over restore it – it still wears its previous life’s scars. The exterior boasts milled aluminium side and bonnet vents, bespoke front bumper painted in black thus matching the roof and wheels.
Other exterior bits include full LED lights, custom made bumpers and side steps plus a custom-made grille. The Land Rover Defender 90 rides on colour-coded extra-wide steel wheels.
The interior is fitted with what Heritage Customs refers to as non-automotive black leather and quilted leather Alcantara. The trimming on the seats, dashboard and rear benches match the colour combination of the roof.
The solid wood treatment has been applied to the rear compartment.
The process of designing and constructing the Land Rover Defender 90 takes about one and a half months and pricing starts from €50,000 excluding taxes – roughly R851,618 depending on the preferred donor vehicle and individual customer requirements.
