Fiat’s Abarth 600e sticks to what makes hot hatches hot
Following its debut in 2023, it was just a matter of time before the crossover received full attention from the folks at Abarth.
Finally, the Italian performance division has shared images of its 600e variant undergoing its final testing before making its public debut in Milan in the coming months.
Just in case you're wondering why there are only 1,949 units of the limited Scorpionissima edition, they are a nod to 1949, the year Carlo Abarth founded the Abarth company.
Details surrounding the 600e Scorpionissima remain under tight wraps, but Abarth does make mention that the variant pushes out 178kW of power, which is a significant boost over the regular model’s 115kW thus making it the most powerful Abarth vehicle ever.
What Abarth also mentions is that the 600e will be fiercely competitive and powerful, thanks to a system such as a mechanical limited-slip differential for enhanced driving stability, improved handling, and traction.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima boasts a range of distinctive features. It showcases an exclusive exterior colour known as Hypnotic Purple, as depicted in the image. The vehicle is further enhanced with a rear spoiler and low-profile 20-inch wheels, which are home to a comprehensive brake system.
A large "Abarth" decal above the side sills and a scorpion logo with neon green accents on the front fender highlight the exterior design.
Each 600e Scorpionissima will come with an authenticity certificate.
As far as first impressions go, the Fiat Abarth 600e Scorpionissima, despite its modest figure of 178kW, is the most powerful Abarth model ever made, and it continues to adhere to the hot hatch theme that blends performance and practicality in a stylish package.
