Ford has lifted the covers off its all-new Mustang Mach-E GT fully-electric SUV that is slated to go head-to-head with the likes of the Audi Q4 E-Tron and Tesla Model Y.
No word yet regarding the local availability of the new Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, however, the all-electric SUV employs a battery-electric powertrain and a dual-motor that drives all four wheels.
The combined power output is rated at 358 kW and a whopping 860 Nm of torque. The combination is good for a 3.7 seconds sprint to 100 km/h from a standstill. As standard, the new Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is fitted with an 88 kWh extended range battery pack that enables the SUV to travel up to 500 km before requiring a recharge. According to Ford, using up to 150 kW, an average of 99 km of driving range can be achieved in 10 minutes while recharging the battery pack from 10 to 80% can take about 45 minutes.
Outside, the Mach-E GT is equipped with standard 20” alloy wheels, unique body styling cues and can be had in exclusive Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange hues. Other features include body-coloured wheel arches, a bespoke, 3D-effect polycarbonate grille in Dark Matter Grey, unique front bumper design with aero-inlets and chin spoiler. The roof is finished in Shadow Black while the door mirrors are painted in pillar black. The wheels house brake callipers painted in Colorado Red colour.
The interior spawns a 15.5” full HD touch display with the brand’s next-gen SYNC system, seats and steering wheel finished in soft-touch material, 10-speaker B&0 Sound System plus a hands-free tailgate. The boot space is measured at 402-litres.
The standard advanced driver assistance systems include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centring, 8 Lane-Keeping System with Blind Spot Assist, 9 Active Park Assist 2.0 9 and Pre-Collision Assist with Auto Emergency Braking.
The new Ford Mustang Mach-E GT made its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
