Jaguar’s F-Pace range enhanced, P400e gets improved EV range
Jaguar is giving its F-Pace SUV enhanced specifications and an added range for the P400e plug-in electric hybrid model.
As for the entire range, the R-Dynamic SE and HSE variants come fitted with 20” and 21” wheels, respectively. These can be had either in black or diamond-turned finish, with the centre caps all in black and silver instead of the red and silver worn by the outgoing model.
A space-saver wheel is offered as standard across the range, while a full-size spare can he had as an option. Also offered as standard from the R-Dynamic to the SVR guises is the Black Pack, which swaps chrome detailing for a gloss black finish on the grille, grille surrounds, window surrounds, fender vents, rear valance and rear badges.
The grille badge on the R-Dynamic model has been updated and is now in black and grey.
Inside the cabin, the entire F-Pace range features a Pivi Pro infotainment system that offers wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and What3words navigation. A wireless charging pad now comes standard in all models, while the R-Dynamic HSE models get an Ebony Suedecloth headliner.
The simplified local F-Pace range in Mzansi now consists of the R-Dynamic SE, R-Dynamic HSE, and SVR. They all feature an 8-speed automatic gearbox that drives all four wheels.
Regarding the P400e, it gets a bigger 19.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that gives it an added range of up to 65 km instead of the precursor’s 53 km. It pumps out a total of 297 kW and 640 Nm ensuring a 5.3-second sprint to the 100 km/h mark.
The enhanced Jaguar F-Pace range is earmarked to go on sale in SA in early 2023, and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
