Jaguar’s F-Type bows out as the last ICE-powered model is introduced
After more than 75 years of producing ICE-powered vehicles, the British marque plans to reposition itself as an electric-first, modern luxury carmaker by 2030.
As the brand transitions towards electric propulsion, it has now announced a limited-edition model of its popular F-Type sportscar, which marks the end of an era of the ICE-propelled sportscar.
SV Bespoke specifically curated the pair, known as the F-Type ZP Edition models, which are based on the F-Type R75.
Both units are inspired by the iconic 1960s E-Type racer, and only 150 examples will be built in coupe and convertible versions. They are powered by the same 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine with 423kW and 700Nm sent to all fours via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Like the R75, it hurtles from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds, en route to a top speed of 300km/h.
To complement its special stance, the F-Type ZP Edition features bespoke exterior equipment such as gloss black accents and gloss black diamond-turned 20-inch forged alloy wheels, which are home to gloss black brake callipers. Other unique features include 'F-Type ZP Edition’ branding on the fenders, tread plates, and dashboard.
Each of the 150 cars has a ‘One of 150’ SV bespoke commissioning plaque.
Since its debut roughly 10 years ago, the Jaguar F-Type has always been one of the most beautiful designs, and it has matured elegantly over the years. The V8 variant, in particular, has been lauded for its impressive exhaust note and enjoyable driving dynamics.
The limited-edition F-Type ZP models are a fitting tribute to this iconic sportscar, and hopefully, the EV version will offer even more excitement, even if it'll be awfully quiet in comparison.
