Inspired by the GT 1300 of the 60s, the folks at Alfa Romeo have debuted two special edition models for their four-door sedan and SUV, dubbed GT Junior.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio GT Junior special series are based on the Veloce derivative and they wear the Lipari Ochre exterior colour inspired by the nuances known as ‘Old Timers’.
Alfa's Giulia GT Junior rides on 19” wheels while the bigger Stelvio GT Junior is fitted with 21” five-hole wheels. Offered as standard are aluminium steering column paddle shifters and equipment such as rear parking sensors.
The interior features electronically-adjustable leather seats with distinctive ‘GT Junior’ lettering printed on the front headrests. There is also specific neat stitching as well as an embroidered silhouette on the 1960s GT 1300 Junior on top of the upper dashboard.
In terms of engine options, there are two; a 2.2 turbodiesel four-cylinder with 154 kW and 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 206 kW. The engines are both paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels with the help of the Q4 system. The Giulia is available in rear-wheel-drive.
