As a younger sibling to the M600, small British sports car manufacturer Noble Automotive has debuted its M500 supercar that is scheduled to reach customers before the end of the year.
At this stage, the Noble M500 is still a prototype and the marque claims it retains the ethos of a driver-focused experience with superb handling. We have to take their word for now.
Unlike its M600 counterpart that wields a Volvo twin-turbocharged V8 with 485 kW, the M500 is powered by a Ford-sourced 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo engine. The power outputs remain unknown at this stage.
This is the same unit that powers the Ford GT Supercar with reports stating that it is planned to develop 410 kW accessed via a sole 6-speed Graziano manual gearbox.
The Noble M500 has no ABS but a hydraulically-assisted power steering and a double-wishbone suspension for enhanced handling prowess.
It comes fitted with a new glass-reinforced composite body, steel tubular chassis and has the same length as the M600. It is, however, slightly wider for a roomier cabin. As a two-seater supercar, the M500 comes fitted with Recaro Podium seats, but buyers will have the choice to fit different seats to suit their driving preferences.
The pricing and final specification are yet to be announced but Noble says it hopes to release the car with a far lower price tag than the M600.
