Old-school cool: The Classic Car Show is back in town
South Africans are passionate about cars, but they are perhaps even more passionate about displaying their vehicles to friends, family, and admirers. There is no better place to feel proud of the detailing you did in your garage than at a car show, and there is a big one arriving soon.
The Classic Car Show is a sight to behold if all things old-school are your flavour of choice. From American muscle to iconic German legends and everything in between, there are plenty of cool cars from the 20th century and beyond. As Mustang celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, we anticipate exceptional Ford displays.
Along with the Classic Car Show, as in previous years, the German vs. Jap showcase will be in full swing at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. This is where the province's best and funkiest builders strut their stuff with their respective icons.
Icons such as different GT-R generations, Supras, RX7s, gorgeous M cars, AMGs, and too many Golf and Polo GTIs to count are sure to be crowd favourites and will probably make a strong showing. It’s an event that brings the community together on a grand scale and presents motoring enthusiasts with a little bit of everything.
The event will also make use of the Expo Halls, where exotic supercars and unbelievable builds will be on display for any tuner to drool over. There will also be a selection of stands selling car-related memorabilia and plenty of food options to get you through the day.
The Nasrec Expo Centre will host the event on the 6th and 7th of July. Tickets can be purchased online from Computicket for R100 per adult and R30 per child per day. If you love the German or JDM scene, or even the classics, don't miss out on the chance to see them all in one place.
