Porsche 911 Turbo S: A Brabus Sports Car with Insane Intentions
In the realm of high-performance cars in this modern day and age, the Porsche 911 Turbo S stands as one of the best sports cars in the world and a dream car for many.
Remarkable as it is, Brabus has found a way of adding appeal by introducing the modified 911 Turbo S that the tuner calls the 900 Rocket R.
The Brabus 900 Rocket R packs the same 3.8-litre flat-six engine, but Brabus has installed two massive turbochargers to give the unit 662kW of power, enough to catapult it from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds - 0.2 seconds faster than the stock car.
It doesn’t end there; Brabus has also fitted a high-performance sports exhaust system that should, for want of a better word, sound lethal.
Many will agree that the beefier cosmetics further lend it a commanding look on the road, thanks to the Widestar bodywork that adds a new front lip spoiler, air outlets in the wheel arches, and a new rear diffuser for better aerodynamic efficiency and road-holding.
A set of 21 or 22-inch Monoblock P Platinum Edition 5-spoke forged wheels and ‘900 Rocket R’ badges complete the exterior look.
Inside, the 900 Rocket R features a bespoke Brabus Ellipse quilting pattern that spans the entirety of the cabin. The soft black leather is merged with the black Alcantara headliner, black topstitching and piping.
High-gloss carbon fibre elements are integrated into the centre console, along with Brabus pedal pads made from anodised aluminium, carbon fibre door sill trims, and an LED-backlit Brabus insignia.
To maintain the 900 Rocket R’s exclusivity, Brabus says it will only build 25 examples for the global market.
Even in its standard form, the Porsche 911 Turbo S remains an absolute monster from Stuttgart that is not just pretty but fast and more capable than many more ostentatious supercars. Brabus has created something truly remarkable here that will undoubtedly be mind-blowingly capable.
