Renault Triber Express panel van goes on sale in SA
The Renault Triber has been in the marketplace for over two years and the French marque is expanding the range with the introduction of the all-new Express panel van.
The exterior of the Triber Express boasts projector headlights, roof rails with a load capacity of up to 50 kg, LED daytime running lights, and a chrome grille plus 14" wheels with full covers. It's available in five exterior colours; Ice Cool White, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Electric Blue and Honey Yellow.
Smart loading
As for the loading space, it has a capacity of 1,500 litres and a payload of 542 kg, which makes it a practical option as a business-support car. There are easy-load access points from the rear side door and boot.
The interior has smart storage spaces of up to 31 litres including a centre console and lower glove box compartment.
Other features in the cabin include dual-tone trim finishes, a new centre fascia with sleek chrome edges, an infotainment system, Bluetooth, a USB port, a dual-tone dashboard with silver accents, plus a fully-digital instrument cluster with LED illumination.
Modest engine, long-term savings
Powering the new Renault Triber Express is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 52 kW of power and 96 Nm of torque. The powerplant is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to the front axle.
In the safety stable, the Triber Express is equipped with ABS, EBD, remote central locking, speed-sensitive door locking, emergency lock retractor, a Pyrotechnic pre-tensioner driver seat belt and dual-airbags.
Pricing for the Triber Express is R219,900 and it comes standard with a 2-year/30,000 km service plan, plus a 5-year/150,000 km mechanical warranty and a six-year anti-corrosion warranty.
