If you count the luckiest countries across the globe, Japan is one of them. The country is home to several special editions and the newly-released BMW X7 Nishijin Edition is a sight to behold.

Built strictly for the Japanese market, only three units of the BMW X7 Nishijin Edition are for sale and can only be bought online.

The BMW X7 Nishijin Edition is based on the xDrive40d Pure Excellence guise and comes only in bespoke Ametrine hue from BMW Individual. The interior is bolstered with full leather merino in ivory white colour and an Alcantara headliner. The interior trim, keyfob as well as centre armrests feature Nishijin art.

Other bespoke features include painted surfaces with gold-silver foil or pigment drawing inspiration from finely-woven Nishijin-ori.

The BMW X7 Nishijin Edition employs a 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 250 kW of power and 700 Nm of torque. It is priced at 16,800,000 yen that translates to roughly R2,298,413 at the current exchange rate.
