Toyota prices locally-built Corolla Cross GR-Sport
The Toyota Corolla Cross has been on sale in South Africa since 2021. As it is right now, it can be customised in various ways. You can add charm to it via the multitude of accessory packages available.
For the first time ever, the Corolla Cross is the latest model under the Toyota banner to receive the GR-Sport (GR-S) insignia, which only adds sportier cosmetics and dynamic handling enhancements.
Based on the range-topping XR trim, the Toyota Corolla Cross GR-S is kitted out with a bespoke exterior package. It comes with 18" alloy wheels shod with 225/50 R18 tyres, a darkened roof and mirror caps, plus a sportier front bumper and grille. The black roof can be paired with three exterior hues; Glacier White, Arizona Red, and Chromium Silver.
Saddling inside, there are several GR-S badges as well as a start/stop button, and leather upholstery with red stitching.
As mentioned earlier, the Corolla Cross GR-S gets a revised suspension component and a recalibrated power steering module for better handling, steering wheel feedback and cornering prowess.
Settled underneath the bonnet is an unchanged 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 103 kW and 172 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission that channels power to the front wheels.
