Chloe Chambers is an American karting champion and has a black belt in taekwondo. Now she adds record-holder to that cred list with a new Guinness World Record for the ‘Fastest Slalom’. Ok so what did she do exactly?
The official slalom is a course with 50 cones spaced 15-metres apart. The trick is to get around each of these cones as fast as possible. The previous record was 48,11-seconds. Driving a stock standard 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder, Chloe smashed the record in just 47,75-seconds.
After a few warm-up runs she edged closer and closer to the record time, building heat into those Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres and coming to grips with her machinery, a far cry from her go kart.
And then she did it, all under the watchful eyes of Guinness World Record officials. Nice work Chloe!
No surprises from the Porsche 718 Spyder. The naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-6 engine is mid-mounted in the Spyder and it’s one of the finest handling sportscars you can buy.
