All-new BMW M2 teased
A few weeks ago, a heavily camouflaged BMW M2 was spotted testing around the Nurburgring thus giving us a glimpse of what to expect when it finally loses the camo.
Now, BMW has released images of a completely disguised M2 as it applies final touches to it before its global debut earmarked for October. According to BMW, the new M2 Offers thoroughbred racing technology for the roads, thanks to driving dynamics that were subjected to an intensive test at the Salzburgring in Austria.
Powering the new BMW M2 is the same engine that does work in the current M3 and M4. Exact power figures remain unknown at this stage but we speculate it could deliver nearly 330 kW. The engine is paired either with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox.
BMW has fitted the M2 with an adaptive M chassis, a rear-wheel-drive system as well as a powerful brake system from the M3 and M4.
BMW says that the M2 features a selection of special equipment options such as a carbon roof to reduce weight and M carbon bucket front seats.
The world premiere of the new BMW M2 will be in October, followed by the market launch in April 2023.
