When the Mazda CX-60 made its debut recently, only a singular hybrid powertrain’s outputs were revealed to us.
It is the new e-Skyactiv naturally-aspirated 2.5-litre in-line four-cylinder petrol engine paired with electric motor that’s good for a combined output of 241 kW and 500 Nm.
The Japanese marque has now revealed outputs of its standard Skyactiv-D 3.3-litre that churns out 170 kW and 500 Nm of torque that’s attainable from very low revs. Accompanying the aforementioned powerplant is the hybridised unit with bumped up power figures of 187 kW and 550 Nm.
Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four corners thus enabling the 1,900 kg SUV to hurtle from a standstill to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds before maxing out at 220 km/h.
Mazda will build the CX-60 at the Hofu Plant No. 2 in the Yamaguchi prefecture.
