The Classic Car Show is around the corner. Here's everything you need to know...
The Classic Car Show is a highly anticipated event for motoring enthusiasts, featuring collectors from across the country showcasing their prized possessions. Held at the Nasrec Expo Centre, the venue offers a unique backdrop that is unmatched in Jozi.
This event is perfect for all classic motoring enthusiasts. The Classic Car Show offers a diverse collection of local and international classics. Last year, attendees enjoyed viewing a range of cars, such as Corvettes (including the new C8), Mustangs, 60s American trucks, E30 BMWs, and more. There were even hot rods for those interested. We anticipate an even better selection of cars on display this year.
The Classic Car Show is an engaging event, as owners will bring their tools and gadgets, like little 70s pit bikes and standalone running engines. There is also a selection of food stalls and petrol-head-appropriate gift shops where you or your kids can purchase something to remember. The Classic Cars Show is a day out you can't miss if you love the classics.
The German vs Jap section is perhaps the best car meet of the year for German and Japanese car enthusiasts. It is a showdown of note, where Johannesburg's best JDM enthusiasts take on the vast number of German fans. In the JDM corner, there will be Nissan GTR R34s, Mk4 Toyota Supras, Mazda RX-7s, Nissan Silvias, widebody Toyota GT86s and many more of your favourites. And in the German corner, if last year is anything to go by, expect many dropped Polos, GTIs and some rapid Golf Rs. Also expect to see some of the finest E46 BMW M3s, current M4s, incredible Audis and Mercs to make a strong showing.
Some highlights from last year were the anime-inspired widebody GT86, Lamborghini with some of the craziest paint work I've seen, and a selection of low-riders and custom rides which will make your mouth water.
The Classic car show will take place on the 9th of June at the Nasrec Expo Centre. Tickets will be for sale on Computicket with pricing confirmed at R80 for adults, R20 for kids and R30 for parking. See you there!
