The stunning Pagani Utopia Roadster has been revealed
In a world of electrification and low emissions, few brands refuse to lean into the changing motoring world and continue to wow us with serious motors in absolutely stunning cars. This time around, Pagani is back at it again with their all-new V12-powered Utopia Roadster.
The Utopia made some waves when it was released with its new and artistically beautiful exterior and Pagani-crafted masterpiece of an interior. It’s hard not to like the Utopia. Pagani chopped the Utopia’s roof to get an open-air feel and create a more encompassing exhaust note.
Roadsters might look cool, but the roof traditionally serves a valuable role in the structural rigidity of the car. Fortunately, Pagani has ensured that the Roadster retains the performance and agility of the hard top.
Normally, reinforcing the chassis to accommodate strong performance without a roof results in a weight disadvantage. Yet Pagani has also cracked that code, with a total weight of only 1,280kg, which is impressive considering the size of Paganis and their V12 motors.
Let’s talk about the V12. Pagani is known for many things, but one of their leading features is the motor and the noise it produces thanks to some AMG input. Famous for its V12, the Utopia is no exception, as its twin-turbo 12-cylinder is a pure ICE motor. A single craftsman meticulously crafted this fire-breathing beast, producing 635kW and 1,100Nm. All the power is forced through a 7-speed triple-disc clutch gearbox.
To ensure the drag is minimised with the roof down, hours have been spent fine-tuning the Utopia’s aero in a wind tunnel to ensure your performance isn’t damped and your face doesn’t rip off at high speeds.
Fortunately for customers, the Utopia Roadster is rather customisable and offers clients an opportunity to help craft their own unique units in various different ways. It will also be the first vehicle to equip the new Pirelli Cyber Tyre. This new system improves communication between the tyres and car computers.
Also for our local hypercar owners, the Utopia achieved global road use approval for safety and emissions, allowing for a wide net of customers.
The Utopia Roadster is a unique and utterly stunning vehicle that offers hypercar drivers the best of both worlds with its convertible DNA. It’s artistic, which does introduce an element of personal taste and might not be everybody’s cup of tea. But what we do know is that it will be fast and pure, with petrol power fueling its loud and racing heart.
