Lamborghini Invencible and Atentica Mark the End For the V12

This is indeed the end…

Lamborghini Invencible and Atentica Mark the End For the V12

While we here at TopGear SA believed that when Lamborghini ended the Aventador’s production in 2022, it would also mark the end of the road for the free-breathing V12, the Italian marque says that’s not the case.

In fact, it has now debuted its two unique Invencible coupe and Autentica roadster models as the final models to wield a V12 engine before hybridisation takes its course.

Lamborghini Invencible Rear

On looks alone, the one-off supercars nod to the brand’s iconic design by featuring styling cues derived from models such as the Sesto Elemento, Reventón and the Veneno. These are further complemented by a striking front and rear light assembly with hexagonal LED daytime running lights, air intakes on the bonnet, and a central triple exhaust with Inconel tips.

The Invencible coupe is finished in Rosso Efesto shade, while the Autentica is painted in what Lambo calls a Grigio Titans colour.

Sharing the same carbon fibre monocoque from the Aventador, the interior is minimal and features clean lines, hexagonal 3D-printed air vents, no instrumentation on the console, Rosso Alala leather, plus Nero Cosmus Alcantara. The cockpit is framed in carbon fibre with a digital readout featuring dedicated graphics for each model.

Lamborghini Atentica Side

The Autentica features details in matt black and Giallo Auge livery. The same shade has been applied on the front splitter, brake callipers and motorsport-derived rear wing.

The brand’s swan song models employ a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine with 573 kW, and 720 Nm channelled to both axles via a 7-speed ISR transmission. Lambo hasn’t shared any performance details, but the figures should translate to quicker times.

The duo ushers the brand into the hybrid age. If you recall, the brand announced in 2022 that it would release only hybrid and PHEV models as part of its plans to electrify its entire lineup. That means the Urus plug-in hybrid is expected to launch sometime before the of the year.

However, the brand will premiere its first hybrid super sports car in just a few weeks.
