More BMW models getting updates this year

Recently, the folks at BMW announced a series of 2022 updates for several models, including the 2 Series Coupe, M3 Sedan, 5 Series, X5 and X6.

Starting with the new BMW 2 Series Coupé and the new BMW M3 Sedan, these models will soon sport the BMW’s Curved Display, consisting of a 12.3″ digital gauge cluster and a 14.9″ infotainment display. This means that the latest generation of the BMW iDrive multi-sensory vehicle experience based on the BMW Operating System 8 has also found its way into both models.

Fresh Five

Moving onto the BMW 5 Series, an M Sport Package Pro will also be available in future models. It is offered as a supplement to the respective model-specific M sports package and includes paddle shifters on the steering wheel for the entry-level models of the BMW 5 Series and an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission for all other models, as well as an extended M high-gloss Shadow Line, an M sports brake system with red brake callipers and M seat belts.

The BMW 5 Series models also receive the M Shadow Line lights, while the BMW 5 Series Sedan also features a black M rear spoiler. New to the range of paint finishes is the Skyscraper Grey metallic variant, while the new Arctic Race Blue metallic paint finish is also available for the BMW 5 Series.

From July 2022, the models in the BMW X5 and BMW X6 series will feature Sensafin decor-quilted interior trim as standard. The newly developed surfaces are available in five colour variants and have similar properties to Dakota leather, as well as a further refined look and feel.
