Subaru extends standard maintenance cover
Subaru South Africa has given its ownership proposition a boost from 1 August, with every new Subaru purchased through its authorised dealer network now coming with a 5-year/105,000km maintenance plan as standard.
Introduced under the ‘Love our new standard’ campaign, the move is designed to strengthen Subaru’s value proposition in SA and give customers greater confidence over the cost of ownership. The idea is simply to give customers more cover, certainty and fewer maintenance costs to worry about.
The five-year/150,000km vehicle warranty remains unchanged, meaning the maintenance plan now runs alongside the existing warranty rather than replacing or extending it. Those wanting even more cover can extend the maintenance plan by a further two years or 45,000km, taking total maintenance cover to seven years or 150,000km.
The new standard maintenance plan includes scheduled servicing and specified wear-and-tear items such as brake pads, wiper blades, key fob batteries, and vehicle batteries.
Looking at the new maintenance plan, it’s a meaningful one that takes uncertainty out of ownership. In a market where value matters a lot, that’s a good thing.
