Chery’s local Tiggo 4 Pro range enhanced
Chery is enhancing its Tiggo 4 Pro line-up with the introduction of three new models that boast higher levels of specifications.
The three new models consist of the Urban, Comfort and Elite SE which phase out the existing range.
Available only with a 5-speed manual transmission, the base Tiggo 4 Pro Urban features an upgraded interior as well as enhanced safety features for the 2022 model year. It does away with the cloth interior and now adopts ‘vegan upholstery’ for the seats, steering and door inlays, plus a central front armrest, adjustable rear headrests and an in-built coat rack.
The comfort features also include a new 6-way manual adjustment system for the driver’s seat. Regarding safety, the Comfort model upgrades from two to six airbags as standard with a new-generation pre-tensioning system for the front seatbelts.
The base trim also gets remote locking that allows the car’s windows to be closed and opened when the key fob is pressed for longer as standard. A digital tyre pressure monitoring system and Voice Command now also come standard.
Chery’s Tiggo 4 Pro Comfort gets the same features as the Urban but only adds a CVT transmission with nine pre-programmed steps.
The range-topping SE soldiers on with all the standard luxuries but adds a full array of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as a radar-guidance system that’s flush-mounted in the front of the vehicle. The system incorporates adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision warning system, and a lane-departure warning system.
All Tiggo 4 Pro models are equipped with a 10.25″ infotainment system that allows Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, electric windows all-round, air conditioning, and LED daytime running lights as standard.
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is available with two engine options; a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine with 83 kW and 138 Nm and a turbocharged petrol unit of the same capacity but with 108 kW and 210 Nm.

The range comes with a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty plus a five-year/60,000 km service plan as standard.
