Manthey-tuned Porsche 911 GT3 becomes a ruthless track weapon

The kit isn’t just a premium set of parts to make your Porsche look more distinctive.

Manthey-tuned Porsche 911 GT3 becomes a ruthless track weapon

Isn’t it wild that in a world where most ‘performance kits’ are just for show, Porsche still offers something that goes beyond mere brand prestige? The Manthey Kit extends beyond simply looking the part and instead sets out to make a proper track car even sharper for those who genuinely love driving at the track.

You can now order the 911 GT3 with the Manthey Kit, which goes well beyond the Weissach Package. This isn’t an all-new thing; you might remember in 2023 when the 911 GT3 with the Manthey Performance Kit lapped the Nürburgring in 6:55.737. This year, the same car shaved that down to 6:52.981. That’s 2.8 seconds faster than its predecessor fitted with the kit.

In terms of kit, the underbody has been upgraded with extended air deflector elements to generate more downforce, and the luggage compartment floor now has a cover to allow for smooth airflow underneath. Up front, the lip has been redesigned and extended by 12mm, with special diffuser fins on the underbody and small flaps along the sides to increase downforce at the front axle. At the rear, the wing is wider, now featuring what Porsche calls a Gurney flap, and the end plates have been enlarged to optimise airflow. Even the rear diffuser has longer fins to boost downforce at high speeds.

The 911 GT3 even gets carbon-fibre wheel covers at the rear to further cut down on drag. And the numbers are wild. At 285km/h in road mode, the car produces 355kg of total downforce. Flip it into circuit mode, and that jumps to 540kg, roughly the weight of a Bajaj Qute with passengers.

Porsche hasn’t said a word about any engine tweaks, so we’re assuming it still runs the same 4.0-litre flat-six with 375kW and 450Nm. And in all honesty, that’s perfectly fine since that engine never needed more anyway. Whether you go for the 6-speed manual or the 7-speed PDK, it’s still sending everything to the rear wheels, just as a GT3 should.

Apart from all that, Porsche and Manthey have developed a special 4-way coilover suspension that can be adapted for track use. This results in improved handling at the limit while increasing mechanical grip and making the car more stable, especially when driving over kerbs.

On the wheel front, Porsche offers lightweight 20- and 21-inch forged wheels as an option, further shaving off another 6kg from the unsprung weight compared to the standard wheels. Wheel colours include Brilliant Silver, Neodyme, or Black (silk gloss). Braided steel brake lines come standard with the Manthey Kit, and if you really want to push things on the track, you can also opt for special racing brake pads that are designed for the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system.

If you’ve read this far, you probably get the picture. The Manthey Kit does more than simply add parts to make a Porsche look more extreme. For anyone who loves driving at the limit, this kit is as close as you can get to a semi-race car without leaving the dealership.

The Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 is expected to be available from March 2026 at Porsche Centres, and if you’re serious about track performance, it’s something you’ll want to get.
