The clients have voted with their wallets, and it seems that the all-wheel-drive 911s are just as popular as the traditional rear-wheel-drive options. Although the formula has been near-perfected in its traditional rear-wheel format, customers, particularly those who live in constantly changing weather environments, are favouring the all-wheel-drive models. Around half of the new 911 Carrera owners are opting for the all-wheel-drive packages, and now we have local price tags for the updated 2025 models.

Before we dive into the local pricing, let’s refresh our minds on what the 4S Carrera offers in the performance department. Its well-known 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-6 has been gifted with a 22kW power bump, bringing its output up to 353kW with an improved 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 307km/h. This is assisted by its legendary 8-speed DCT PDK system without the option of a manual. That’s where the Carrera T steps in.

Its braking system has been brought down from the GTS for sharper and more aggressive braking and cooling. 20/21-inch wheels are fitted, Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus is added, and a sports exhaust system completes the package. Not only do these all-wheel-drive 911s offer improved performance in unpredictable weather, but they also provide improved performance across the board.

But the topic of this story is that the Carrera 4S Coupe, Cabriolet, and Targa can now be ordered in South Africa. Starting with the more affordable option, the Coupe, will set you back R3,250,000. The Cabriolet, or drop top, will come in at R3,517,000, and the Targa, which was originally designed as a safer alternative to the Cabriolet for the American market, now comes in at R3,552,000 in its authentically stunning design.

All models come with Porsche’s 3-year Drive Plan. So if your Porsche collection is itching for a new member or you have been waiting to pull the trigger on the latest hybrid all-wheel-drive iterations, well, now you can place your orders.
