We travelled to Range Rover’s Gaydon testing facility in the UK to meet the first fully electric Range Rover Sport and get behind the wheel before its South African arrival.
In this exclusive first drive, we test its acceleration, Dynamic mode, sharper handling and specially engineered EV soundtrack. We also take it through the fuselage of an aeroplane before tackling off-camber surfaces and potholes to experience its climbing ability, suspension and refinement.
The new Range Rover Sport Electric produces up to 404kW and 850Nm, accelerating from 0–100km/h in as little as 4.3 seconds in Dynamic Launch Mode. Its 118.5kWh battery offers up to 609km of WLTP range, while 800V charging technology enables a 10–80% charge in around 22 minutes.
But does the electric model still feel like a proper Range Rover Sport? Watch our exclusive first drive to find out.
