Haval Jolion Pro gets a green splash and ‘Limited Edition’ badge
The Jolion Pro is getting a limited-edition model aimed at giving the already popular crossover a bit more edge in the local market.
Called the Jolion Pro Limited Edition, it’s based on the Super Luxury variant and adds a handful of visual touches that are likely to resonate with South African buyers. Look closely, and the green-finished details immediately recall the H6 GT when it first landed, a look that clearly resonated at the time.
Those additions include green exterior trim accents, green brake callipers, and limited-edition branded carpets. None of it is over the top, but that’s part of the charm. It’s subtle enough to feel tasteful, yet distinctive enough to stand out in a sea of grey and white crossovers on our roads. That said, one area where the aesthetics still feel slightly underdone is the wheel size. Based on what we see on the roads, the wheels appear slightly undersized. A larger wheel option would go a long way toward giving the Limited Edition a more purposeful look that aligns with the sportier aesthetic of the green accents.
Inside, nothing changes mechanically or feature-wise, and that’s no bad thing. You still get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50W wireless charging, USB-C ports, and voice commands.
Power comes from the familiar 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine shared with the S Ultra Luxury model, delivering 130kW and 270Nm to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
For just R2,500 more than the Super Luxury, this limited edition almost feels like a no-brainer. The price bump is negligible in today’s market, yet the visual differentiation adds real showroom appeal. More importantly, it shows that GWM understands its local customers, as the Jolion Pro accounts for around 50% of GWM SA’s sales, so it makes sense for the brand to introduce it to the local market.
