Isuzu Motors South Africa is set to retire its second-generation D-Max in the new year but before it does so, it is giving the outgoing model a special send-off in the form of three X-Rider Limited Edition models.
Wearing the X-Rider Limited Edition insignia, only 210 individually numbered units will be built.
To set it apart from the normal X-Rider models, the Limited Edition features blacked-out 18″ alloy wheels, black roof rails, X-Rider Edition Limited roll bar, tailgate branding, branded carpet set, and a standard load box roller-shutter.
Based on the existing X-Rider models, the Limited Editions are available in the 2.5 HO X-Rider LTD 4×2 5-speed manual, 2.5 HO X-Rider LTD 4×2 5-speed auto, and a 3.0 X-Rider LTD 4×2 with a 6-speed auto.
The 2.5 X-Rider Limited Edition models are equipped with a 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that is good for 100 kW and 320 Nm while the range-topping derivative is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit with 130 kW and 380 Nm.
Isuzu’s X-Rider Limited Edition will be built at Isuzu’s Struandale plant in Gqeberha and is available at Isuzu dealerships.

All Isuzu D-MAX bakkies come standard with Isuzu Complete Care, consisting of a five-year/unlimited kilometre anti-corrosion warranty and a five-year/ 90,000 km Service Plan. Service intervals are every 15,000 km or 12 months.
