Renault’s new Trafic Panel Van touches down in SA.

The Renault Trafic Panel Van has been a probable business support vehicle since its introduction in 1980, and since then, over 2.2 million units have been sold in 50 countries.

Renault has retailed two generations of the three generations for the SA market, and 555 units have found homes.

It’s now entering its fourth generation and boasts an updated front fascia incorporating a more dynamic front end that houses full LED headlights. The front end also features a reworked bumper, a vertical grille, a new radio antenna, and 16″ wheels with trendy covers.

Renault offers the new Trafic Panel Van in two non-metallic shades; Ice Cool White and Cumulus Blue.

Inside, a new dashboard is highlighted by a horizontal line that stretches into the door panels, instrument panel, door panels and gear selector. Other features include chrome inserts, power-adjustable mirrors, new door panels with wider armrests and an easy-to-use infotainment system with radio, Bluetooth, USB and AUX ports.

For added convenience, there is a folding backrest of the central seat and a new Easy Life drawer that can accommodate 88 litres – 54 of which are positioned under the passenger bench seat.

It’s powered by a 2.0-litre dCi 4-cylinder engine with 125 kW and 380 Nm. The unit is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Priced at R599,999, the new Renault Trafic Panel Van is now on sale in South Africa.

The pricing includes a standard 5-year/90,000 km service plan, a 5-year/150,000 km mechanical warranty, and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services are at 15,000 km intervals.
