If it has wheels, Deon’s sure to be interested – there are no two ways about it. Growing up during the Schumi-reign, he, naturally, wanted to be a racing driver – needless to say; that hasn’t exactly worked out according to plan. Instead, he pursued journalism in the hopes of someday getting into the motoring arena where the big break finally came in the form of a SAGMJ Bursary. Thereafter, he joined Leisure Wheels in 2016 where he drove a Toyota FJ40, a fire-fighting Unimog and just about everything in between. When he’s not behind the wheel, you might find him obsessing over aircraft, fighting evil on the Xbox or crafting something in his woodshop.
