TopGear SA’s Speed Week 2025 | SA’s Ultimate Performance Car Journey

Speed Week is not a lap-time shootout. It’s not a spec-sheet comparison. It’s a journey. And yes, we crown a winner. The best performance car in South Africa in 2025. Every year, the TopGear South Africa team disappears for seven days to answer one question: What is the best performance car on sale in South Africa right now? Speed Week 2025 took us on a 2,500km road trip from Johannesburg to Gqeberha and back, crossing mountain passes, long straights and unforgiving terrain before unleashing 13 of the country’s most exciting performance cars at the legendary Aldo Scribante Raceway. This documentary follows the full Speed Week experience: • The road trip • The commentary • The laughs and late nights • Insights from the team and our invited content creators • Track sessions, gravel stages and real emotion • And, ultimately, the crowning of our Speed Week 2025 winner From purist driver’s cars to hybrid heavy hitters, rally-bred hatchbacks to wildcard performance machines, Speed Week 2025 challenges what performance really means — not by numbers alone, but by how each car makes you feel. The Cars featured include: Porsche 911 Carrera T • BMW M2 • Alfa Romeo Stelvio Q and Giulia QV • Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance • Defender OCTA • Audi RS 3 • Toyota GR Yaris • Mini JCW • Lamborghini Urus SE • Audi RS Q8 • Mercedes-AMG CLE53 and E53 Special Thanks to our Accommodation Partner in GQ, the Sunrise Hotel. Our Speed Week base in Gqeberha was the Sunrise Hotel, Bluewater Bay a luxury hotel just minutes from Aldo Scribante Raceway, offering exceptional comfort, service and ocean views during one of our most demanding production weeks.
