Alfa Romeo Estrema duo: More standard features for the deputies

It’s aimed at customers who are always looking for the emotions linked with being at one with the vehicle.

Designed to bridge the gap between the Veloce and Quadrifoglio trim levels, Alfa Romeo has unveiled its new Giulia and Stelvio Estrema special series.

Unveiled at the Alfa Romeo F1 team’s factory, the Estrema duo is the first special series to be sold globally and according to the brand, it is the perfect combination of technical refinement and driving pleasure.

New active suspensions are offered as standard and Alfa Romeo says they contribute to exceptional travel comfort. A mechanical self-locking differential is also offered as a standard for enhanced stability in all grip situations.

To differentiate it from its counterparts, the Estrema features a carbon fibre veneer on the mirror cover and front V while the Estrema insignia is imprinted in dark tones on the bumper and alloy wheels.

The Giulia rides on 19″ alloys and 21″ for the Stelvio. These are home to brake callipers that also feature the Estrema badge. The Estrema models are available in four exterior shades; Alfa White, Alfa Rosso, Misano Blue and Vulcano Black.

For more pizzaz on the Giulia Estrema, buyers can fit the optional wheel package that adds a wider rear wheel/tyre combo for enhanced vehicle dynamics, a unique appearance and gloss black colour brake calipers with the Alfa Romeo script in white.

Inside, there is a carbon fibre veneer and Alcantara seats complemented by red stitching on the dash, seats, steering wheel and gear knob. An audio system with 14 Harman Kardon speakers and a dual-pane sunroof are also part of the Estrema setup.

A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 206 kW of power and 415 Nm of torque powers the duo. They are both paired with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four-wheels in the Stelvio and the rear wheels in the case of the Giulia. The latter can be had with an optional Q4 AWD system.

Thanks to the hardware upgrades, the Giulia completes a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.5 seconds and 5.1 seconds for the SUV.

Order books for the Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema and Stelvio Estrema is now open with availability in the third quarter of 2022.
