BMW is expanding its X3 local offering with the introduction of the X3 Mzansi Edition that is based on the xDrive20d model.
Carrying a price tag of R1 005 900, the BMW X3 Mzansi Edition comes fitted with sportier features such as an M Sport package that adds M high-gloss shadow line, blacked-out kidney grille and frame, M carbon wing mirror caps as well as red M Sport brake calipers.
The rear wing spoiler is finished in high-gloss black while the exhaust accents are finished in black chrome. Meanwhile, the rear diffuser also gets the high-gloss treatment.
The Mzansi Edition can be had in five colours and comes standard with a fully electrically operated tow hitch.
The cabin is fitted with a standard M Sport package that adds a panorama glass sunroof, ambient lighting, BMW Live Cockpit Professional and wireless charging.
The powerplant remains unchanged. It is still the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit with 140 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque. It enables the SUV to sprint from a stop to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds with the top speed capped at 213 km/h. The engine is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission that sends power to both axles via the standard xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
