Revving up the coast

The Santos Beach Auto Exstremo is heading to Mossel Bay.

Revving up the coast

On a sunny day, it doesn’t get better than driving a classic with the roof down along a coastal road. So what better place to host a new car show than the beautiful Mossel Bay? This location offers South Africans a viewing opportunity that rivals famous international shows and is set to become an annual event.

The name Santos Beach Auto Exstremo might seem odd for a South African car show, but it pays homage to the Portuguese explorer, Bartolomeu Dias, who first stepped foot in the Mossel Bay region in 1488. Its name was designed to celebrate the location’s heritage while encapsulating the exquisite nature of the vehicles set to attend.

This might be the first year of this event, but some recognisable names are already expressing their excitement and interest in this particular event. The show also hosts the finale of the inaugural Southern Cape Tour, hosted by the Southern Cape region of the Mercedes-Benz Club.

There is sure to be an incredible variety of classic icons and mesmerising supercars on display, and if you want to participate in this event, you must pre-enter your vehicle before arrival. The event will be held on Sunday, the 1st of September 2024. As spectators, adults will be charged a R75 entrance fee, and children can attend for free.

It’s an event that you won’t want to miss out on. With a location of international quality, cars with global appreciation, and noises that you rarely find anywhere else, it’s sure to be a classic and a supercar fan’s dream come true.
