The new-look Vantage is “engineered for real drivers”

Aston Martin is a brand that most enthusiasts relish. The recent DB12 proved that this brand still has what it takes when it comes to producing elegant yet engaging sports cars. The Vantage is the next model to receive an upgrade, and this new model has quite the power bump.

The new Vantage will come with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, producing a healthy 489kW and 800Nm, adding 114kW and 115Nm over the outgoing model. This enables this front-engined, rear-wheel-drive gentleman’s rocket to launch to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds. Aston Martin has gone to considerable lengths to tune the chassis on the Vantage to produce a car that it says is “engineered for real drivers.”

To ensure the driving experience is of the highest level, the Vantage comes with a selection of claimed ‘industry-leading’ parts. These include Bilstein DTX adaptive dampeners, an electronic rear differential, 21-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, and a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

The interior has been enhanced with a more advanced infotainment system to ensure all creature comfort demands are met and exceeded. It’s clear that the styling behind the new Vantage has continued from the DB12, with dynamic lines and a futuristic yet elegantly aggressive exterior.

The new Vantage will go on sale in Q4 of this year; however, Daytona will likely only be receiving units in South Africa as early as 2025.

Aston Martin has almost perfected their vehicles’ elegant yet muscular styling, and this new unit is no exception. Upon its announcement, the brand also announced that there would be a GT3 customer version.
